References to the Final Fantasy Tactics series & Vagrant's Story

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS

1. While he's under the identity of Marques, Cid resembles Cidolfus Orlandeau.

2. The Corpse Brigade exists in the game, being led by Milleuda the Slitter. This references the Corpse Brigade from FF Tactics, being led by Wiegraf, as well as Wiegraf's sister, Milleuda Folles.

3. At some point in the MSQ, Ungust will utter the line "If you want to blame someone for the mess the world's in, blame yourselves or the gods!", a line similar to one said by Delita.

4. In the Japanese version of FF XIV, Lahabrea's incantation for casting Ultima in Praetorium is loosely based on Ultima's incantation for Divine Ultima in Final Fantasy Tactics when you fight them in the Airship Graveyard.

P.S: Sorry for butchering this one, I couldn't find an actual image of the in game Ultima quote in Tactics and also couldn't find an english subbed japanese version of the cutscene in the Praetorium, so I used both the english version of the cutscene and Ramza's Ultima quote from Opera Omnia instead. The original quote in the PS1 version of Tactics that Ultima says when doing Divine Ultima is "Open the 7 doors to reach the tower of power! Ultima!"
If you find more appropriate pictures, please let me know on Twitter at @Nibayasan

5. Elidibus is Zodiark's messenger in FF XIV, which is a reference to Elidibus in FF Tactics having Zodiark as a summon, having the implication that he gave his soul to the dark being.

6. Y'shtola used the alias of Master Matoya in the First, living in the Rak'tika Greatwood, a place housing the ruins of the Ronka civilization. This may reference the Matoya's Cave Wonder from Final Fantasy Tactics.

7. The Veil of Wiyu and the Omnilex were an Artifact and a Weapon respectively in Final Fantasy Tactics. They're both relic weapons for Summoner and Scholar respectively in A Realm Reborn.

8. Construct 8 can be found in Pharos Sirius (Hard), he was an optional party member in Final Fantasy Tactics.

9. In the Return to Ivalice raids we find out that Jenomis Lexentale's real name is Arazlam Durai. He also has two sons named after Ramza and Alma. Ramza Lexentale and Alma Lexentale.

10. Argath Thadalfus is the last boss of the Royal City of Rabanastre raid, turning himself into a Lucavi. This mimics his fate in the War of the Lions version of Final Fantasy Tactics.

11. Ramza, Alma, Delita and Orran are mentioned and make appeareances in FF XIV. Orran married Alma in this continuity, which makes Jenomis a descendant of the Beoulves.

12. The Orbonne Monastery is the third and last raid of the Return to Ivalice raids. Just like in Final Fantasy Tactics, it also serves as an entrance to the Necrohol of Mullonde.

13. The first 3 bosses of the Orbonne Monastery are Mustadio Bunansa, Agrias Oaks and Cidolfus "Thunder God" Orlandeau, seeking to test your strength before the battle against Ultima.

14. Ultima the High Seraph is the last boss of Orbonne Monastery. In the FF XIV continuity, the main characters could not defeat her and instead elected to seal her, when the Warrior of Light came into the Orbonne Monastery they tested their strength to make sure they were ready to face Ultima.

15. At the end of the raid, the FF Tactics characters appear to give one final message to the Warrior of Light.

16. The Ivalician Squire set and the Ivalician Holy Knight set are based on Ramza and Agrias' gear respectively.

The raids also have songs from Final Fantasy Tactics. I'd like to say they're the original versions too as I don't notice much of a diference.

Rabanastre's main theme is Trisection.

Rabanastre's boss theme is Battle on the Bridge

Rabanastre's final boss theme is Ultima, the Nice Body

The Orbonne Monastery's theme is Under the Stars

Mustadio's theme is Tension 1

Agrias' theme is Antipyretic

Ultima the High Seraph's theme is Ultima, The Perfect Body

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS ADVANCE

17. Similar to Queen Remedi summoning the Totema to aid her during the final encounter, Ultima summons Belias, Famfrit and Hashmal to help her in the Orbonne Monastery raid.

I'll see if I add an image once I repeat the raid.

18. Clan Nutsy from the Shadowbringers hunts is named after Marche Radiuju's clan of the same name from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

19. The nu mou's appeareance is based on their FF Tactics Advance design.

20. The porxie Ezel II is named after Ezel Berbier.

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS ADVANCE 2

21. A moogle named Hurdy appears in the Return to Ivalice quests, this Hurdy is also the brother of Montblanc, just like the Hurdy from FFTA 2.

22. This reference is also on the FF XII page. The Ivalician Shikari gear is Vaan's gear from FFTA 2.

VAGRANT'S STORY

23. The song used for the Thunder God fight in FF XIV is Grotesque Person a.k.a A Man Consumed from Vagrant's Story

24. Nightstalkers and Dark Crusaders appear as normal enemies in Orbonne Monastery.

Can't find an image of the Nightstalker in FF XIV so I'll have to do the raid at some point and update here when that happens.
